Technologic Seminar by JSC BVT

On March 17, 2023 in the City of Tyumen BVT held its technologic seminar dubbed Trending Casing Perforation Technologies Using Blasting Perforation Equipment. The seminar was conducted at the behest of JSC BVT’s partner – Gazpromneft – Noyabrskneftegazgeofizika LLC.

Senior managers of geology departments of the following oil and gas production companies participated in the event: Gazpromneft - Zapolyarye LLC, Gazpromneft – Razvitie LLC, Gazpromneft – Yamal LLC, RN-Uvatneftegaz LLC, Sorovskneft LLC, Meteroyakhaneftegaz LLC, Messoyakhaneftegaz JSC, NOVATEK NTTs LLC, as well as representatives of service geophysical companies including Gazprom Nedra LLC, etc.

The seminar featured discussions of modern-day, trending and the most efficient perforation technologies that:

• Allow to introduce combined effect on the pay zone (COMB-AT);
• Enhance effectiveness of perforating and explosive operations with subsequent fracking due to the relevant structural solution with the possibility of grouping shaped charge types and angular deviation of their axes (CLUSTER);
• Ensure selective perforation with the installation of Plug&Perf packer plugs.

The Targeted Initiation System developed by JSC BVT has been in the epicenter of interest of the seminar participants due to the increased number of jobs performed using this technology. This technology allows for completion of several intervals (clusters) and installation of bridging packers, as well as multistage fracturing with targeted and sequenced perforator initiation.

This is ever more topical in light of the industry’s demand for import independence: The entire set of JSC BVT equipment and components for Plug&Perf technology has been developed and manufactured in the Russian Federation.
